Overview
This summer LAAP offers various formats of drumming apprenticeship intensives w/Amir Ziv. Choose between:
Week-long live-in format - Includes: 30 hours training, plus all meals and lodging
Week-long daily meet-up format - Includes 25hrs training
Drummers will work with Amir on three style-less fundamentals of drumming:
Harmonic / Melodic Rhythm, Coordination, and Technique
Intensive daily training will significantly increase your abilities in your craft and pave the road to advance your musical expression and the art form to new heights.
Formats / Tuition
One-on-One or Small Duo Group 5-day Intensive - Live-In Format
You are invited to come live and train with Amir one-on-one or in a small group of up to 3 students.
Dates:
July 1 - 6th
August 17 - 22nd SOLD OUT
Total training time: 30 hrs, divided into three 2hr sessions per day.
Location: Beautiful private residence in scenic town of Beacon, NY.
Walking distance to beautiful nature trails, into town, and to the world renowned modern art museum DIA on the banks of the Hudson river.
Accommodations: Private room
Meals: 16 delicious meals are included using fresh local organic ingredients

Discount: A $500 discount will be applied to all current/returning students
One-on-One 5-day Intensive - Daily Meet-up Format
In this format you will work one-on-one exclusively with Amir, custom tailoring your intensive to your individual pace and specific needs.
Dates: May - July period
Specific dates to be worked out on individual basis. Please make contact to discuss your preferences.
May 26 - 30th SOLD OUT
Total training time w/Amir: 25 hrs
Location: Flexible - Your intensive could take place at one of the NYC studios Amir is affiliated with, or it could take place at your own studio or home studio.
Daily Schedule:
10:30am - 1pm Session #1
1 - 3pm Lunch/rest break
3 - 5:30pm Session #2
Tuition: $3300
Discount: A $300 will be applied to all current/returning students
Private Lessons via Zoom
Amir is currently accepting new students for private lessons on line.
Topics can include: Technique, Coordination, Harmonic Rhythm (polyrhythms), Phrasing, Forms, Styles, Grooves, Odd Meters, Soloing, Sight Reading, Orchestration, Performance Techniques, and Tuning.
One hour $100 /Two hours $180

Deposit • Cancellation Discount • Consultation
Deposit
After you submit your registration form, we review your application within 2 business days and once approved, we will send you a confirmation email with an invoice for a non-refundable $500 deposit. The deposit must be paid in order to secure your spot in the session. The deposit will be applied toward the total tuition fee for the session. The balance of the tuition fee is due by the first day of the session and is payable by cash, Venmo, Pay Pal, or certified bank check made to “Amir Ziv”.
Refund and Cancellation
The deposit is non-refundable unless the event is canceled. If you need to cancel your participation in the program, please contact us as soon as possible. The full remaining balance will be charged if your cancellation is made in less than 15 business days prior to the start of your program.
